Cancun Clim ate
A narrow 23-kilometer-long (14-mile) island section (Cancun Island) is lined with modern beachfront hotels surrounded by the Bahia de Mujeres (Bay of Women), the Caribbean Sea, and the Nichupte and Bojorquez lagoons. Each end of the boomerang-shaped islet is connected to the mainland by bridges, the southernmost connecting to the airport and the highway south. To the north, the bridge connects the Hotel Zone with Cancun 'Centro' on the mainland. 'El Centro' has colorful shops, restaurants and smaller hotels catering more to European and national tourism.

We arrived at the Iberostar Cozumel mid-day. Our first impressions of the Iberostar Cozumel were of a true natural environment -- “green and vibrant.” From the entrance of the open-aired lobby we viewed bright flowers, flamingos, peacocks, palm trees, mangroves, and ferns. The Iberostar Cozumel is tropical, alluring, and welcoming.
The Iberostar Cozumel Resort is a short twenty-minute dr ive from the Cozumel Ferry Pier. The all-inclusive Iberostar Cozumel is a wonderful resort selection for those electing to vacation in Cozumel. This hotel has gone through a complete renovation since Hurricane Wilma in 2005. The hotel has a fresh, clean look and feel throughout the entire complex.
