Planning for your special day will be a wonderful time for you! Finding someone you can trust to assist you
with planning your special day will be rewarding and beneficial. Judy and Maria’s Travel, Inc. specializing in planning honeymoons, destination weddings and vow renewal celebrations.
Destination weddings are intensive and demand a level of planning and knowledge over that of a traditional wedding. Our destination wedding planners will walk you through every step of the process making it easy, stress-free and enjoyable.
Avoid the Stress
Destination weddings are as stress-free as a wedding can get! You will have an on-site wedding planner handing the majority of the details so that you can sit back and relax. There are no rules, so there is nothing that “must be done.”
Extended Families
It is very common for the bride and groom to live in a different state or country than their parents, siblings and friends. If people have to fly to attend a wedding, why not choose an exotic location. One that people want to visit!
Couples in Second Marriages
Couples in second marriages that include children have a great opportunity to start the new family off with an exciting vacation built into a wonderful event.
Romantics
Nothing is more romantic than a destination wedding. For couples who want to make the wedding something truly special, a destination wedding is the right choice for them. Plus, the destination will always hold a special place in their hearts and is the ideal location to visit over and over again to celebrate anniversaries!
Non-traditional Destination Weddings
Do you want a wedding to symbolize your interests? A destination wedding allows for more choices than the local wedding hall. How about an underwater scuba wedding? For those couples who are not interested in tuxedos and the traditional wedding gown, how about a wedding on the beach in casual clothes and bare feet?
Do you have a limited budget?
Many couples don’t have the means or choose not to spend a lot on one day’s events. With fewer guests and many resorts offering intimate weddings at a minimal cost – or even for free – a destination wedding makes sense for the couple.
The All-Inclusive Wedding
Why not plan your wedding at an all-inclusive resort that offers a wedding ceremony or vow
renewal free of charge or for a minimal fee, usually with a minimum stay. Typical inclusions are the services of the wedding officiator, the wedding license, and scenic spot for the ceremony, wedding cake, bouquet and boutonnieres for the bride and groom and a few photographs. An on-site wedding planner can help the couple choose their extras if they want, which can include almost anything you would find at a traditional wedding. The wedding planner also handles all the paperwork and details, allowing the couple to arrive and enjoy their special day and honeymoon after. Couples can come on their own or bring as many guests as they like for the festivities.
The Resort Wedding
Many resorts in the top honeymoon spots around the world have hired on-site wedding planners to create the ideal event for the bride and groom. You will find a choice of packages, from the simplest intimate ceremony for the couple alone; to the most elaborate á la carte affair for hundreds.
Wedding Packages usually include most of the following, depending on the resort and package selected:
-
Services of a judge or minister
-
Services of a wedding coordinator
-
Flowers, including a bouquet for the bride, boutonniere for the groom
-
Wedding cake
-
Bottle of champagne for the wedding toast
-
Private candlelit dinner and/or breakfast in bed for the bride and groom
-
Late checkout for the bride and groom
Popular Destinations
Dominican Republic . . .
Whether couples are looking for a quiet, secluded beach getaway or want to start off their new lives with an exciting eco-adventure, the Dominican Republic can accommodate them. Brides and grooms can opt for extravagant and lavish ceremonies and receptions or more sedate and private affairs on the beach, in lush gardens or anywhere else they would like. Most of the resorts in Punta Cana offer a selection of wedding and romance packages and often have wedding specialists on hand to assist in coordinating every last detail.
Jamaica . . .
Jamaica, a land of lively culture and gorgeous beaches, continues to be very popular for weddings and honeymoons. All inclusive resorts abound in Jamaica. Top romantic spots to tie the knot on the island include the Blue Lagoon in port Antonio, Lovers Leap near the South coast’s rugged edge and on Negril’s cliffs at sunset.

The options are virtually endless. The bride and groom can enjoy an all-inclusive resort wedding or get married at a Mayan Indian ceremony on the Yucatan peninsula.
