Maria's First Impression of the Iberostar Tucan
Our first impression of the Iberostar Tucan Resort is that of happiness. The hotel is bright, tropical, active and fun. Guests enter the lobby and are greeted by brilliant colored parrots and toucans (the namesake of the hotel). After getting past the bird cages, one will notice the stained glass toucan window about the lobby bar. The Iberostar Tucan is a wonderful, happy hotel.

Iberostar Tucan Guest Rooms
A total of 350 guest rooms. All 
are situated in individual bungalow style, three-storey buildings, consisting of 36 rooms with garden and pool views. 24 junior suites and 2 presidential suites with an ocean view. The bungalows are surrounded by 28 acres of lush, tropical gardens.
Toucans, flamingos, ducks and turtles inhabit the lush gardens surrounding 350 cheerful rooms and junior suites, distributed in 10 three-storey buildings. You will enjoy a balcony/terrace, air conditioning and ceiling fan, direct-dial telephone, minibar, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, safe deposit box (free of charge) and satellite TV. Rooms have two double beds or one king size bed, bathroom with shower only.

The golf course is located about 30 minutes from the resort. 18-hole, par 72 golf course. Rental of clubs available for a standard rate of $30.00 USD. (pricing can change at discretion of golf course). The hotel offers roundtrip transportation to the golf course.
Iberostar Tucan Kid's Club
The Lucy's Kids Club for children ages 4 to 12 years, with complete supervised activities program from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and a kiddy disco at night.

Scuba Diving at the Iberostar Tucan Resort
5-Star Scuba Diving Center offering optional dives for certified divers and certification course for new divers. Water skiing and banana boat rides. There is an extra charge for these services. Price examples for the diving center: Introductory Scuba Diving course (2 dives and full equipment): $139.00 USD, Open water diver course $399.00 USD, one tank dive $46 USD, full equipment rental $6.00 USD.
