The Palladium Vallarta Resort & Spa has an attractive Mexican style, painted in cheerful colors with thatch and clay tile roofing. The lobby is decorated with a beautiful traditional “Huichol” mural and crowned with an impressive thatch roof.
While walking to the guestrooms one will encounter thatch covered passageways surrounded by the jungle. From the passage ways guests can observe small animals which are native to the region.
Palladium Vallarta Resort is surrounded by 15 acres of botanical gardens. This 355 room resort offers guests the privacy and seclusion necessary to complete the ultimate vacation experience. Rooms are distributed in superior rooms with central air conditioning, color television, telephone, bathroom with tub and shower, hair dryer, balcony, in room safe, and minibar with soft drinks.

The Palladium Va
llarta Resort is situated off Highway 200, which is taken as you exit the airport. The hotel is located within the tourist complex of Banderas Bay, 35 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta.
The Palladium Vallarta Resort is located in Costa Banderas on Banderas Bay and is in close proximity of 2Punta de Mita -- the State of Ayarit at the northernmost point of Banderas Bay where the Pacific Ocean and the Sea of Cortez meet. The Banderas Bay is internationally recognized as one of the most beautiful bays in the world. Flowing into this bay are seven rivers whose flora and fauna is extremely rich with variety. In 1851 the first population was founded at the mouth of the river which was given the name of Las Penas from the Senora from Guadalupe. Today this area is known as Puerto Vallarta.
The beaches are of fine, white sand with nearby coral reefs for some excellent snorkeling and diving. Deep sea fishing, whale watching and surfing are also favorite pastimes on this beautiful area of the coast. The beachside restaurants at Punta de Mita offer fresh seafood and refreshing drinks; there are surf shops, rental of snorkeling and diving equipment, tours by boat and horseback riding.
The Palladium Vallarta Resortis approximately 12 miles from the Puerto Vallarta Airport. Our transfer was roughly 40 minutes in duration. The Palladium Resort is approximately 20 miles from the city of Puerto Vallarta.
The Palladium Vallarta Resort and Spa History
Formerly the Viva Vallarta Resort, the Palladium Vallarta Resort was purchased by the Fiesta Hotel Corporation several years ago. The Fiesta Hotel Group has invested a large sum of money to enhance and upgrade the entire resort complex. The Royal Suites (new build) is complete and open for reservations. Plans are in development to completely update the guestrooms in the main section of the hotel. After the rennovation (Late Summer / Fall 08) the hotel will be branded "Grand Palladium." The Palladium Vallarta is a solid, well-rounded, value added all-inclusive hotel resort located near Punta Mita and Sayulita.

Enhancements to the Palladium Vallarta Resort
- The grounds have been meticulously landscaped with greenery, indigenous flowers and palm trees. The wooden walkways have been refreshed and updated.
- The exterior of the buildings have been painted in fresh, soft, calming colors.
- The seaside/poolside restaurants have been renovated and are stunning.
- The restaurant was open-aired and very warm in summer and fall. It has been divided, enclosed with glass walls and doors and is air-conditioned for comfort. The décor is beautiful, the views picturesque, and the food is very good.
- The guest rooms have received a soft renovation with new fabrics and wooden dressers that have been constructed.
- New wooden doors and Mexican decorative lighting fixtures have been added to the corridors to update décor.
- Mexican lighting fixtures have been added in hallways throughout the complex.
- The new Hemingways Bar for adults is completed and is sophisticated and relaxing.
- The new Sports Bar is air-conditioned and has televisions, pool tables, fooseball tables, two internet stations (fee), snacks and beverages and is a welcome addition to the hotel.
- The Zoo is a wonderful gathering spot for everyone -- both adults and children. The enclosures featured monkeys, deer, the largest crocodiles we ever saw, parrots and numerous varieties of birds in the aviary including ostrich.
- Ice machines have been added in the buildings.

Whale Watching

Imaging watching migrating whales from the cliffs above, from the beach or even the pool at the Palladium Vallarta Resort (November through March) . During the winter months, Humpback whales are a common sight. Dolphin encounters are a regular, year-round occurrence whether in large groups leaping out of the water, or in pairs, riding along the bow wave of the boats in the Bay.
