The Gran Bahía Príncipe Punta Cana is an elegant colonial-style complex, set on a splendid white sandy beach, with all the facilities you need for your favorite sport, endless fun activities and a wide range of cuisine, all in a fantasy tropical setting. All rooms are junior suites which have a terrace, Jacuzzi and satellite TV. The complex has on buffet-type restaurant and six (6) specialty restaurants with á la carte dinner service.   All restaurants are climate controlled. The Gran Bahía Príncipe Punta Cana Resort is located on the east coast of the Dominican Republic, approximately 35 minutes by car from the Punta Cana airport and approximately 90 minutes by car from La Romana airport. It is 60 minutes from the town of Higüey, in the province of La Altagracia.

Our first vision of the Gran Bahia Principe Punta Cana Resort was of tall hand-forged metal palm trees surrounded by hand-crafted metal pineapples, all set in the midst of a flowing fountain surrounded by tropical greenery.  The polished marble floor and bright artwork on the walls, along with huge floral arrangements bring forth a realization that one's long awaited vacation is finally about to begin.

Golden Club Rooms

Same as Junior suite with Jacuzzi bath, distributed in 2- and 3-storey villas. The junior suites feature two (2) full-size beds or one (1) king-size bed with "pillow top" mattress, air conditioning, ceiling fan, full bathroom, hairdryer, satellite TV, telephone, private safe, mini-bar and terrace or balcony.

In addition, the Golden Club Rooms are located closest to the beach and feature VIP amenities and service:

Guests vacationing at the Gran Bahía Príncipe Punta Cana Resort Golden Club will enjoy the closest rooms to the beach and a vast array of amenities.  When upgrading to the Golden Club, guests can take advantage of amazing dining privileges.  There is a private restaurant open for breakfast and lunch, exclusively for the Golden Club guests.  Golden Club members also enjoy four specialty dinners per 7-night stay, chosen from six (6) a la carte restaurants and one gourmet restaurant.  Other fine amenities include room service, bathrobes and slippers in their rooms.

• Palma Real - Cocotal Golf Club: designed by Pepe Gancedo, a Spaniard who was six times European champion. Today there is no doubt this is considered to be the best golf course at Punta Cana- Bávaro. (15 minutes away from the resort)

• Punta Cana Golf Club: incredible golf course designed by the talented P.B. Dye, famous for his worldwide recognition. 14 holes with fantastic views of the Caribbean - and four holes alongside the ocean.
