Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resort
All-Inclusive Hotel in Mexico for Everyone

logo.png

The Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resorriv maya 1.pngt is the first of a 4-hotel complex.  The just 20-miles from Playa del Carmen, and 1-hour from the airport at Cancun.  The property has several Mayan Ruins, huge “cenotes” and 2 natural wonders, together with 5 virgin beaches with up to 3,000 ft extension, making the location one of the best on the entire area.

The Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya features a “cenote” (natural cave) is formed by subterranean water and is filtered by the rocks.  Cenote water has a high level of purity.  The caves are usually round shaped, and due to their proximity to the sea, the water has a salty taste, at the same time retains a transparent, clear quality in most of them.  The “cenotes” are sacred spots for contemporary Mayans, just as they were for their ancestors.  Legend has it that the water in these caves is totally pure and has not been touched by daylight.

The Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya features the largest coral reef in the area. The reef is accessible to swimmers, and is of immense interest for anyone experienced in deep sea diving.  The Yalku lagoon, near Akumal, is connected to the sea, and the combination of sweet and salty water provides the ideal conditions for parrotfish, huge turtles and other tropical fish.

Judy and Maria's Notes and Impressions on the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya Resortresort.jpg

Our first impression of the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya was that this hotel is somewhat different from other hotels in the area.  The architecture is European Contemporary and the structures are built in a circular configuration around / within the natural habitat of the property.  This hotel is encircled by nature. Guests can delight in the natural environment and preservation of the grounds.

The resort is approximately a two hour drive (dependent upon traffic and road conditions on any given day) from the Cancun Airport and it is located approximately 30 minutes south of Playa del Carmen.   The owners of this hotel originate from Spain.

We had the opportunity to visit and tour the property.  The resort is open and running well.  The following is our synopsis of our November visit to the hotel.

This Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya is unique, different, refreshing, trendy, and sophisticated.

Accommodations contemporarycropped.jpg

The Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya offers a wide choice of 408 Standard Junior suites, 33 “Sapphire Junior suites”, 60 “Diamond Junior suites” and 3 spectacular Suites”.  4 fully-adapted handicapped rooms are available for disabled guests.  For families, the hotel offers 48 connecting rooms.

Note from Judy and Maria:  The suites are 450 square foot!  Junior suites have two double beds or one-king bed, bathroom with Jacuzzi, hair dryer, ceiling fan, phone, mini-bar (soft drinks replenished daily), coffee maker, safe, satellite TV and private furnished balcony. The electrical outlets in the rooms are 110 volts. The junior suite accommodations are large, polished, and very accommodating. The wall-mounted jet showerheads are wonderful and relaxing and the water was very hot.  The whirlpool bath in the room is large and overlooked the sleeping area.  The suites are beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

Dining

Note from Judy and Maria:  Dining options at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya are numerous and we were surprised by the quality of the fresh and prepared fosteakcropped.jpgod and the vast selection offered to guests of the resort.  The buffets are all about selection of your favorite foods.  There is something for everyone.  All the restaurants are wonderful.  Our personal favorite is the Italian Restaurant “Cinecitta.”  Decorated in black and white, the ambiance is relaxing and the food and service was wonderful.  We chose the lasagna, which was decedent, and steak which one could cut like butter with a fork.  The chefs at the appetizer bar would uncover the hot selections for each guest and then cover back up with lid to keep warm and fresh.  The crusty rolls were baked in front of your eyes and were perfection.

Sirenis Hotels are concerned with the care of the environment, as well as the greencropped.jpgpreservation and respect for ecological surroundings. All of the hotels focus on minimizing the impact on the natural environment.  Because of this, Sirenis Hotels implements the use of ecological programs.

All of the guest rooms at the Grand Sirenis Riviera Maya are equipped with energy saving devices.  These activate the lights and electrical currents from the moment you enter your room, and remain active by the use of a motion sensor.

In case of emergencies the hotel has it own generator.

Turtles and Tours

Sirenis Hotels counts on a team of biologists who are in charge of training the personnel who care for the plants and wildlife of the complex.  As well, they choose the proper food for the wildlife and the watering and maintenance for the plants.  Guests are asked not to feed the wildlife.

Unlike other beaches in the area, Xac Beach is a common breeding ground for turtles laying their eggs. During spawning season, the staff works in conjunction with the ecological authorities in the control and registration of the turtles that make their nests on the beach, as well as the birth of baby sea turtles. Please respect all the signs posted to preserve the wildlife.

 Ibiza, Spain

grand sirenis logo.jpg"Sirenis Hotels & Resorts is an international family run company with its Head Office on the Grand Sirenis disk2 042-cropped.jpgisland of Ibiza (Spain), with more than 40 years experience in the hotel business.  We offer our guests first class (Sirenis Hotels & Resorts) and luxury hotels (Grand Sirenis Hotels & Resorts), located on the island of Ibiza (Spain), Punta Cana (Dominican Republic) and the Mayan Riviera (Mexico).

We are really interested in exposure in the American market, especially when dealing with such a professional team as Judy & Maria’s Travel.  You are the perfect, example of what a real travel agent shoud be, i.e. a genuine travel consultant, not just a ticket agent looking for the best price.  It is value for money that clients look for, and this is what they will get with Judy & Maria’s Travel.

This consultancy goes far beyond your clients.  It is a consultancy for us, the hotel group.  It is a pleasure to see how this team regularly visits the Grand Sirenis, especially considering the great times we have with you, always endeavouring to find new objectives concerning our properties, that will allow us to impress our guests day after day, season after season.

And this is of prime importance for the industry.  It seems obvious, but it is difficult to find business with a 100% satisfaction guarantee.  No unpleasant surprises for the guest just fulfilled expectations.  This is what makes a guest come back again, and you really know how to make them dream about their next vacation.

Please continue the good work, and don’t give up.  Both the guests and hoteliers will thank you for your professional advice, which will be reflected by a long-term relationship.  It is an honour to be one of your preferred partners, and we are sure that this will last for a long time.

Looking forward to seeing you . . .  for sure within the next two months, for your next site inspection. "
